Year-end update

First I would like to extend my overdue thanks to Valois J. Vera for inviting me to read at his poetry jam in Denton and to everyone who came to listen. My Facebook page has a few photos of the event by All Hallows Productions so check them out.

I’ve been busy working on my manuscript, but I did take a break in October to participate in a fan work challenge for the DnD actual play Shadows Over Welde. Fanfiction was where I got my start so I am a staunch defender. However, this was the first time I’d written and posted any fanfiction (and fan poetry) in about 12 years, and the SOW fandom is unique in many ways. The experience of writing something for 31 days straight was challenging yet invigorating.

I’ve updated my Publications page since there are unfortunately some broken links. On the upside, there’s a new work, Texas Bards Poetry Anthology, and if you can meet me in person, you can buy a copy from me directly and save on shipping. Here is my younger cat Pietro helping me advertise.

I also updated Awards and Features and changed the pronouns in my bio, as “they/them” is a better representation of who I am. I am still okay with “she/her” (and honestly, “he/him” is fine too). 2025 promises to be scary for many of us, but I’m determined to take a stand and to continue writing.
