My first poetry marathon week was a success! Protect Yr Local Dolls was a great celebration of transness, and I got to meet some cool folks. Yellow’s 1-Year CelebrAsian was a space of healing, triumph and activation. The recording is available here.
Now for another marathon week. It starts tomorrow, October 5 at 2 PM with Badge of Pride’s Say It Loud — A Chorus of Queer Memory. You can attend in person at the Irving Archives and Museum (please RSVP) or check out the livestream on their Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube. The YouTube will also have recordings we made individually. Check out the amazing poets I get to share the stage with!

There’s also a raffle for Badge of Pride merch and an autographed poster. After a couple days off, I will be attending Inner Moonlight at The Wild Detectives on Wednesday, October 8 at 7:30 PM as a listen and potential open mic participant. Then the following evening is North Texas Business Council for the Arts‘ Literary Night, where I’ll be reading my award-winning poem. It’s from 5:30-7:30 PM at Richland College. There isn’t an event page, but if your company participates in On My Own Time, you can ask about how to attend. You can also read the winning poem here. I’ll definitely update with more official announcements.
